About RITI
The Regional IT Institute (RITI) is a not for profit institute that was established in Cairo in 1992 as a subsidiary of the Regional Information Technology and Software Engineering Center (RITSEC) Ritsec Home Page. RITSEC was established in 1992, as a joint project between the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Arab Fund for Social & Economic Development (AFSED); and is hosted by the government of Egypt through the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC). RITI designs and delivers academic and training development programs in related aspects to information technology, business, management and software development.
Mission
Our mission is to promote a highly qualified and developed generation in the Region through education, training, knowledge creation and dissemination in the fields of business, management, information and communication technologies. At RITI we are building on a Tradition of Excellence and Meeting the Challenges of the Future to contribute to the business & socio-economic growth in the region. Our challenge is to maintain our position as one of the main organizations in the creation of knowledge and advanced learning.
Services
Our scope of activities include; Post Graduate Academic Degree Programs, Training Development Programs, Research and Consultancy. In addition to the organization of Conferences and Exhibitions that targets emerging information, communication and computing technologies.
Facilities
The institute is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology. The facilities comprise four fully equipped lecture rooms that seat between 30-50 participants per room with a total capacity to accommodate up to 200 participants simultaneously. All lecture rooms have overhead projectors, whiteboards, data-shows, Televisions, VCRs. Additionally; there are three fully equipped computer labs each with between 10-20 PCs with a total capacity of 60 PCs capable of accommodating up to 120 participants on 2 to 1 basis simultaneously. All personal computers are linked via a LAN giving students access to shared resources (file servers, laser printers, etc.) and have full multimedia capabilities. In addition, the equipment available includes digital camera, scanner, and video grabber. All machines have full Internet access. The library of the institute holds an impressive number of dissertations, journals, books, CDs, and videotapes among others in different fields such as business, management, and IT.
