Effects of corporate identity on corporate image


If people make no association between the company and its identity symbols, then identity plays no useful role. The company’s identity symbols may help people recall the images of the company. The identity symbols enhance the company’s image and reputation. For designing a corporate identity the research encompasses the following:


• When customers, potential employees, and other people think about the industry do they recall the company’s name?


• Do they recognize the company’s identity symbols (such as logo and corporate colors)?

• Can they recall the company’s advertisement?

• Do they confuse the company with another company/

• Do they know what products and services the company sells?


The composition of corporate identity varies from one company to another.
