See I have time and again mentioned that I hate reservations and I am completely against it and yes this reservation goes against the basic premise of equality. I'm no friend or alter ego of arjun singh..

But yes I do believe that this strike is wrong because it affects the people...I ll be repeating my same points again. And I can suggest only 2 things...that doctors continue with their protest once thier duty is done for the day. Its easier said than done. And the other thing is to make this protest more widespread so that people from all spheres can join this.

Its just my view....

lets talk within the scope of the title of the thread, i.e. the doctor's strike. There is no point in talking of strikes as a whole, bcoz then, my argument would change. See, i agree that strikes were invented for a reason, which, however have been misused. Kerala is known for strikes... Call it any damn thing, from increasing fares, to the non availability of a water cooler... holds good for striking, to them.

But that's not why i entered the debate. Why should the discussion be focussed on the airport strike, whatsoever? Do u think the cause is the same in both place. I agree that the airport strike was unjustified. But, as i said, we're fighting against a corrupt system, which is more powerful than us. It won't be easy to fight it.. esp when the unity amongst the striking doctors is lost, the SC holds their strike as illegal, et al. You urseld, say that u r opposed to reservation... so what option would u have had? Wouldn't satyagrah be ur choice and what would be the most feasible option... strike.. isn't it?

Do u think, u can talk those morons into submission, esp when they're all deaf ears to any proposal, per se?

I say it... and i say it again... Doctor's strike... absolutely legal...

doctors strike is not accpetable at all because its an emergency duty and basic necessity like medcine or food.and after all doctors are so intellectual they do not have any ides on how to put across their demands
 
Grt job done by them they are fighting for there right of equality why can't we all stand up and kill this bug
 
i also favor the doctor's strike. y should we suffer this. i still feel the frustration of losing admission to NM and HR college just becoz i was in open category.

i had 72 in my entrance and i was ranked 156. still i was denied admission in NM and HR college. whereas ppl wid scores of below 50 enters every year into NM on grounds that they were from backward community. great scholars have said that all men are equal. even the constituation of india's forst right is righjt to equality. i do not see this today in india. there is a huge communal difference on education grounds. now doctors did what they felt right. where are the management students. why dont we also join the campaign. after all we also will suffer if seats at MBA level are being divided among communal differences. ppl more eligible shoulkd be getting into better colleges.

god gives equal brains to everyone. its upon us on how we use it. god never gave less brains to backward community. then y is arjun singh thinking the other way? arjun singh keep ur ideology with urself. we will not be suffering for ur poor and backward thinking. we ll agaitate if this biill is passe
 
Doctor can never go on strike, there are other means for showing protest. As doctor profession involves human life, no reason for going on strike is valid

doctor is given place just after GOD in our lives.
have u ever thought of GOD, going on strike. then how can his assistants go on a strike.
