Mostly poor countries will come on the top. Money is required to do most of the things, like traveling, air conditioning or energy utilization etc. which people don't have in countries like India, or Asian, African and S. American countries. No aberration over this.It is not we are that green friendly. Show us the money and we will be like US soon.
As per my point of view, I think India's water consumption should be checked by installing water meter in each household just like any utility, such as gas, electric, etc. by having common water society bill doesn't help because some households may be using more than others and being used carelessly and this way doesn't help to save water, and India should start acting immediately in other ways of preserving water, not just waiting for the monsoon, water salienation,etc. maybe initial costs will be high in both cases but profitable in the long run and help more people to access to clean water.
