Do you think an 18-year-old is mentally and financially prepared for marriage?

no...........i guess....ppl are not matured enuf...by dat age...to take the responsibility of another human being...nd sustain....it...
also...adjusting to the new environment is not dat easy....
 
hiii guys...went through all support and against arguments....being said in favour of this statement..I too believe in fact that :-Age of 18 is nt a perfect age for both girl and men for tying the knot...as its a very young age where a person should be mainly focussed towards his further studies and his/her career for getting finacially settled in life . Moreover, at this age, they cann't be considered as more mature & experienced one's for taking Important Life descisions..And infact Laws in favour of this have no relation with any increase/decrease in number of illegal/unregistered marraiges until or unless the old generation i.e. there parents won't get addresed /taught in this direction,like, what are pros & cons of early marraiges/illegal marraiges.
 
like v plan our carrer this matter also shud b planned in the beggining......
its not a bad idea to marry at 18...... it'll reduce molestation upto some limit
boyz will fell a bit of responsibility.....
they wont go in the wrong direction

I really believe maturity comes with age and 18 year is too early for starting a new phase which requires lot of pressure handling and contemplations
(This is my personal views).
 
Its not the matter of mentally or financially. It all depends, how the person in question has been grown up. how well he can manovours his all resources, matrialistically or imotionally. Well planned initiatives can fetch him all the worlds at this tendor age also. Even grown up adults who are into late 20's or thirty's can be perplexed by the situation.
 
I think that the debate should be "mentally fit or not" because "financially fit or not " depends on background. Guys from rich background may not start earning till late, while poor guy starts his small business or service ... like Shop at early age. Somy guy keep on studying till age of 30 ( field that requires more knowledge and experience like Medicine).

Also "mentally fit or not" again depends on environment. Many kids are fit, many men are unfit.

But you know that Govt need to set some age limit.... at 18, they are suffeciantly FIT ..... actually its not like that guy of age of 17 years and 364 days when he will awake tomorrow will become FIT by JADOO.

I think on both fronts, mentally and financially- an 18 year old is definitely not prepared for marriage. marriage is a big responsibility and one has to be mentally more mature to handle it.
 
At 18 , A person will not be able to handle the stress of handling his job and his wife.
Well if he is blessed with a good loving wife. Still there wont be any work life balance.
He wont be able to handle things, ultimately everything will fall apart.
 
Ofcourse not, an 18year old person is just a school pass out and has no awareness of the outside world and how to handle things and so not ok.
 
hey... fr me... age after the secondary sexual growth( biologically proven) doesn't impact much on the maturity levels..its comparative... i being girl at age of 24 dn't feel prepared enuf to getmarried but at the same time meet people 20 yr age with kids and happily settled... fr guys, all i say is that whether 18 or 32 they should understand their responsibility of feeding additional members before taking nay such decision.. if they are capable, no prob in getting married at 18 too!!!
 
I personally don't think that 18yrs of age is sound age to getting marriage, ppl do say that if the govt. can provide us the voting rights in this age why can't we marry in this age but , tell me one thing when u get married the life is between u & ur better half & no one involves in your personal life, it means you have to take every decision between u two but in election it is not two ppl but millions of ppl & then it safe. I know i have not given motivating answer but then its my personal thought.
 
Financial dependency can not be fixed under a time frame... I know people who do part time jobs during their college days. So financial stability can never be bench marked. It depends purely on every individuals satisfactory limit. Mentally matured to handle a person at 18, YES that is a valid question. Coz, Handling people needs experience and if there are going to be negative events happening at 18, can definitely dampen a Human's rest of Life. So, people has to learn things, until every human comes to a point where S/He feels, Yes, I can Handle myself in any situations, and then opt for a partner to live with. Living together doesnt mean only physical relationship. It definitely needs more of mental maturity to be with people...
 
Well i think people makes mistakes thats what we are and concerning current generation 18 year old guy or gal is old enough to make there own decisions.........
