ya man..very much.. apart frm bein in touch wid ur frns.. its also a forum to find new ones.. n also a nice time pass..

plus it helps u enhance u knowledge abt a few things u might nt b aware of b4...

As you already said there is both pros n cons with social networking sites. @ d end its our personal choice. So thr's nothing to say much abt it now.
I have been connected to several old frnds whom i hv not met for years. So i think networking is very imp. Plus there are no. of useful forums to gain knowledge.
 
i am in total support for the networking sites...
it is the best way to be in touch with friends....
moreover you get to meet new people ,,make your networks,,contacts...

it also depends on how we use it...it can become an addiction at times which we need to take care of...
 
Communication is shifting towards social networking, so regardless of whether or not they are to be considered positive or negative I think that there's a definite inevitability about them. They can be misused, and some even record private or personal information... But I think the pro's vastly outweigh the con's here in the sense that people are able to reconnect with people of their past and stay in touch at the click of a button.
 
As You have already said That social Networking sites have its merits and demerits too. i also feel that social networking sites have good as well as ad points.. like from these social sites we can get in touch with our so many old friends.. can make new contacts.. and also big personalities have their profile on Social Networking sites like i have read in news paper that Prime minister Manmohan singh also have made profile on orkut. but these sites are also bit bad too coz you cannot make out that the person with whom you are talking is real or has made a fake profile. also many cases have come in newspapers of scams coz of these sites and also there is a risk of getting hacked on such sites. but at the end its our decision and if we stay alert of fake people we can be safe.
 
well it depends on you how much are u addicted to the same. it is indeed a very good platform to meet our old freinds but it is also leads to many unwanted things. so it depends on the user i.e. make it useful to urself to the extent it is needed.dont cross limits
 
Social networking for working class members are a boon as interaction with people from the same field across different countries has become very easy.
Agreed that it is liable to misuse but that is upon an individual's own choice and preferences.
Right from children to elders are all part of social networking today and it has much to offer to anybody who is patient enough to learn.One must adhere to one's discipline and self control and thus it is extremely beneficial.
