Distribution Strategy
Aloha was able to quickly launch a fully operational site because of the highly flexible nature of the online booking technology and expertise of GetThere staff.
"GetThere was incredibly responsive during the implementation of our new booking engine," said Shari W. Chang, Aloha's senior vice president, sales and marketing. "Aloha turned to GetThere to provide us with a system that we can easily maintain and modify to respond to the constantly changing marketplace."
GetThere DirectAirline allows Aloha to configure the site to offer promotional deals and specials to help reinforce brand loyalty. Its scalable platform is designed to accommodate growth as Aloha's online booking volume increases.
"While travel overall may be down this year, a higher percentage is being booked online," said Tony D'Astolfo, vice president of sales at GetThere. "Aloha Airlines is now ready to take advantage of the online market, backed by a powerful platform that already processes millions of bookings per year for many of the world's leading airlines."

Aloha Airlines joins a list of air carriers who use GetThere DirectAirline, including Air New Zealand, Alitalia, All Nippon Airways, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, National Airlines and United Airlines.
Aloha Airlines and Juro International Systems today announced that it has signed an agreement of new software that will allow the airline to warehouse and study real-time revenue analysis information, including information on flights booked through its various distribution channels.
Aloha Airlines will use the data delivered through Juro's JIS-TCN Revenue Analysis system to analyze and develop pricing, revenue management, distribution channel and sales strategies. The JIS-TCN system uses transmission control number (TCN) data provided by the global distribution systems (GDS) and produced by Aloha Airlines' internal E-ticket system to produce the information.

Randy Laser, Aloha's Vice President of Pricing and Revenue Management, said: "Juro's TCN system will greatly improve our ability to warehouse accurate Aloha revenue analysis data, and with the real-time information collected from TCN, we will be better prepared to respond to market conditions and more effectively maximize our revenue opportunities."

"Aloha Airlines has proven itself to be an ambitious player and an innovator in the major marketplace. Our JIS-TCN Revenue Analysis system is helping a growing number of aviation related businesses increase revenue and market share by changing the way they manage information. We look forward to helping Aloha Airlines accomplish its goals," said Kenji Oba, Juro International Systems president.

Juro International Systems is a data management, information technology and consulting firm. With the combined experience of more than 50 years at seven major airlines, JIS develops innovative and cost-effective software solutions. Assimilating complex data from various sources and providing management with problem-solving tools that will improve performance is their primary goal.

The mission of JIS is to serve the needs of its clients by providing accurate, real-time data that can be used for key decision making and the delivery of results that will provide immediate improvement to their client's financial statements and efficacy of operations.

In January 2011 Los Angeles-based Yucaipa Cos., the former majority shareholder of Aloha won federal Bankruptcy Court approval to buy the Aloha name and other intellectual property for $1.5 million with a stipulation that it not resell the name to Mesa Air Group, the parent of go! Mokulele. In 2009, Mesa sought to re-brand its go! planes as Aloha. But federal Bankruptcy Judge Lloyd King stopped the name change, following impassioned pleas from former Aloha Airlines employees who largely blamed Mesa for Aloha's demise. It is unknown at this time what the furture plans are for the Aloha name.
