If you advertise for a job, lets say at a lawfirm, and say that you must be male to apply, it's discrimination. It is my opinion that to hire with any educational requirements that do not pertain to the job is also discrimination. For example, a high school diploma will not make a person a better soldier.
 
Employment discrimination refers to disabling certain people to apply and receive jobs based on their race, age, gender, religion, height, weight, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity. In relationship to sociology, employment discrimination usually relates to what events are happening in society at the time. For example, it would seem ludicrous to hire an African American male and absolutely unheard of to hire an African American woman over 50 years ago. However, in our society today, it is the absolute norm to hire any qualified person.
 
Discriminatory practices in recruitment and promotion cause detriment to the economy. Age discrimination reduces productivity because job and advancement opportunities are inefficiently matched to workers and talent is wasted. The Cabinet Office study of older workers estimated that low employment among older people reduces GDP by ?16 billion per annum. Higher participation rates among older workers lead to better matching of jobs to people, increased employment rates, and enhanced competition among workers that will stimulate the labour market in the longer run.
 
Under RTI, you can only ask for "information".
You cannot ask for reasons for a public authority doing or not doing something.

Change Item 2 to:
Names of JEs who were........and provide certified copies of pay fixation (delete everything else and no need to supply PIO anything)

Change Item 3 to:
I want to inspect the entire files related to:
a) the CAT judgement.......
b) the decision of......to fix the pay of JEs.......

All the rest of the points are ok.

The inspection of files will give you the complete picture.
