Hi guys,
Detention of Shahrukh at an airport in New York created a lot of ruckus. He joined Kalam and Fernandes in this process to be the third big name to be detained by US authorities. The question arises, whether the US was right to detain as popular as Shahrukh? It is believed by a huge section of people that the detention was more of a racial discrimination rather than a security check measure.
This is not the first time a famous personality from India has been detained by the US airport authorities.
SRK has been detained twice prior to this and it becomes insulting and humiliating sometimes.
The ground on which SRK was detained is still not clear and people believe that this yet another case for unfair treatment towards Asians.
Just because he has “Khan” behind his name doesn’t make him a terrorist. The ground on which he was detained was termed as “insensitive” and “incompetence” by many.
The debate can go on and on regarding this topic and there will always be mixed opinion on it. But if still US authorities don’t learn to respect the boundaries of people of value then it might be yet another case of unjust treatment meted out to Asians, especially Indians.
