Detail Information on Hr Audit

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY[/b]

This project deals about what HR all comprises of. I have made this project because I wanted a career in this field. Human Resources deals with various things but it does not deal with only managing human relations but framing the policies, rules and regulations, filling all the recruitment places in the organisation.

HR audit helps take a look at how effectively all HR activities have been carried out. The HR audit comprises HR functions, managerial compliance of policies and procedures, organisational climate, and corporate strategy.

The audit may adopt any one or more of the five strategies:

i. Comparative approach

ii. Outside authority approach

iii. Statistical approach

iv. MBO approach

v. Compliance approach.

HR research provides necessary data for auditors to assess the effectiveness of personnel activities and employee satisfaction.

The auditors prepare and submit an audit report which may be clean or qualified. The latter contains gaps in performance and therefore contains remarks and remedial measures. A clean report is appreciative of the department’s functions.

HR deals with following topics:

1. HRD Audit

2. Performance management

3. Training and development

4. Personnel planning

5. Recruitment

6. Induction
