I dunt think so because the film has been approved by the Central Board after scrunity and it carries a certificate stating about the fictious nature of the film. Moreover the film is successfully running in Christain dominated countries. So there is no point of banning the film in India.

The film is banned is banned only in Theaters which in turn boosts the black market for CDs/DVDs for the film.It will be better to revoke the ban and start screening the film

IIRC , I saw it first day last show in a theatre ...

Da vnci shouldn't be banned since t doesnot contain any explicit ideas and its is a bnoo of ficton.therefore bannn a wok of fiction cannot be justified

hey when was it banned in India???
It was released 3yrs back i guess. Is there any sequel thats coming out and i'm unaware about !!!
Where did you heard about this banning news ?

The movie was not actually banned, but there was a strong demand to do so. Such bans - instead of suppressing the wrong facts, in fact, attract more people - just because of high curiosity fact. In fact if those opposing it really wish to let people not to watch it - they may just allow the movie to be shown in the normal course - without this free oppose-me-too publicity all excitement would die down and nobody will watch it. In fact if something is banned, people do make it a point to see that - whether through official channels or through illegal/pirated means.

They're working on the prequel - "Angels & Demons" I think it's called.
It's an exciting book - I thought the movie didn't do justice to it. Nothing to make a big brouhaha about though, it doesn't pretend to be historical, so why give it that much importance anyway?

the book wasn't banned ... why should the movie go through that... and the vatican couldn't get either of them banned anywhere in the world, not even rome, then why would India be one to part of the whole performance....
