upto an extent it is true but in real sense it is the game which is flowing in the blood of all indian.
it is still a game but due to its popularity businessmen are investing their money to earn huge profit.

a very simple question what we people are getting from it. nothing but inspite of that we watch cricket, so from my point of view it is heart beats of all Indian
yes businessmen are converting it into business
 
Things are getting more professional with involvement of big business houses it has been looked up as an money minting source both by the players as well as the owners.

And indeed every game on this planet is a business

it depend on the people and their flavour for these business to suceed or to fail like hockey.
 
All the games are for entertainment and entertainment is a big busines there fore there is an entertainment tax as well.
