Cricket a game or Business...???

Cricket is a game which has evolved over a period of time from a thorough professional game to a more entertaining and business oriented format. However influx of more money into cricket as a game is a good sign for cricket but blending it with bollywood masala is not a good move because it has resulted into cricket losing its charm. Every thing that exists in this world is a business opportunity. For example, take English Premier League, Rugby etc.. you will find the same format of buying players, building team and presenting it as a brand. This is all commercialisation of sport but then the core game factors have still remained in those games. However cricket is moving from its core factor to a mere entertaining platform wherein you can see nowadays that anyone from non cricketing fraternity comes and presents views on game of cricket. To me cricket as a game and entertainment should grow.

i dnt find anything bad if it said to b a business.nw sports to be global u need money which is happening now so its not a bad

It is a hot business for for hot girls of bollywood, and the new IPL coming in its way, beware, take a pill before to read the news related to whom purchased whom and what price, lol

it is very sad 2 see cricket overshadowing even our national sport. Y are people so much into cricket ??? it is purely and purely a business of making money.

The funny thing is that each country seems to have its own "business" game or leasure activity! Sailing, golf, skiing... you can make some deals only when you meet them in the certain clubs

If we think critically, its the audience who took a game "cricket" as national pride for themselves, & forgot about other games, & that gave rise to business in cricket.

i agree.... other sports need equal weightage else they will never get the desired credit.......
