corruption, how necessary is it??

Is that the government is the biggest thief, not because of corruption but because of the laws that are set up to stifle business rather than encourage it.
That's being the case beaureaucrats are paid to block and find mistakes in activities that are in fact honest in the true sense. add to that the fact that infrastructure in India is abysmal.....

so may be bribery officials keep the system going, with honest guys businesses may close down, what say ??

I agree. A businessman in its very nature is not an idealist. He will always go down the path which is the most logical for achieving profits which unfortunately in India is by bribing officials to remove unnecessary hinderances.
 
why cant it be altered and rectification be shown to public as a part of clarification that naturally happens. Is it necessary to go for bribe in every case.

I do not think corruption is necessary. At the lower end of the food chain, the issue are the wage levels but at the higher up level it is really driven by the sense of power than anything else. The society lacks honesty overall as well.
 
I think that in the present scenario corruption is not a matter of choice. Everybody is bound to be corrupt or help the corrupt at some point of time. People have set priorities and not being corrupt comes very late.
 
I think corruption is the greatest resistance in the development of our country. Corruption has established its roots permanently in our society, system, bureaucracy and almost everywhere. Political leaders and government employees are corrupted in bulk. That's why amount of money given for the welfare of nation is never utilized for the purpose.
