What is a Mutual Fund?

Mutual fund is a pool of money collected from investors by a company which is managed by a team of professional fund managers for a small fee.

  • Investors contribute their contributions.

  • The ownership is thus joint or mutual.

  • A single investors ownership of fund is in the same proportion as the amount of the contribution made by him to the total amount of the fund.
