CAT is one of the most anticipated exams in the country seeking a management career. CAT is more a test of elimination than a test of selection. Some of the common errors to avoid :

Error 1 ! :- Preparing only for selected topics :- Our human nature is always to narrow down the syllabus and prepare only for selected topics based on what has come in the past few years. CAT has been unpredictable and is known to spring a suprise every year and catch students off gaurd. Therefore it is in the interest of all to prepare to the best

Error 2 ! :- Blind guessing :- CAT always has had negative marking. 'EXPERIMENTAL' conditions have been observed that blind guessing always leads to negative or low score. Thus, avoid blind guessing and mark the answers discriminately.

Error 3 ! :- Overdoes of mocks :- Most students believe that the best way to prepare is to take as many mock tests as possible. This is not at all the right way to continue as repeated mocks highlight the same weakness. Thus a thorough analysis of every mock will yield good results than taking a large number of such tests.

Error 4 ! :- Unequal distribution of time across sections :- Most of the students do not manage to clear the cut-offs in each section of CAT and also the overall cut-off. To meet this objective , it is imperative that you spend equal time across all the sections.

Error 5 ! :- Speculating on the composition of the paper :- CAT is known to ask questions on wide range of test areas and there is no point in speculating as to what is going to happen. Morever, such speculation would only fritter away your energy and make you nervous before the examination begins.

HOPE FOR THE BEST!!

Thank you for letting us know these errors, otherwise the mistakes would have crossed the line and everyone would have regretted..
