cell phones in education institutes?

Hello friends.
Almost every one of us use cell phones in our daily life. It has become a need of life. You can contact anyone at anytime. It has many advantages but on the other side there are disadvantages too, like we have heard about some mms scandals those were made in educational institutes.

Do you think that we should carry cell phones with us to school or college or it should be banned?
 
As we know cell phone is one of the basic for any one as you have said it need for contacting and as concerning about taking in school and college there are some basic humanity which should be followed by every one specially we indians as this mms Scandals are making worst to our society and it to the person to think about this matter i feel very sad about this type of thinking of ppl
 
As a professor I am unable to control the menace myself. Well cell phone should not be used at least during convocations!
 
well , mobiles should be allowed , incase of some emergencies and stuff and coming to the bad points as you pointed towards , you cant really stop people , if not in the institute , outside.
 
Cell phones are essential; since Staffs are allowed to use the cell phones why should not students they too have friends, family, business network.
 
cell phones should not be banned...nor any one should make it a necessity for himself or herself...its better to have control over your emotions...
cell phones have been made to communicate...and specially required during emergencies...
its strictly depending on the institution whether they allow people to use cell phones
 
not allowing cell phone usage in the lecture halls is a good enough but banning the usage in the campus and not allowing students to use cell phones at all in campus is just not justified.
everything in moderation is good !!!
 
Even in case of emergency carry at ur own risk has most if the institutes have banned the usage...

Hi everyone,

I come from telecom background. Cellphones have become important in everyone's life & in today's fast paced life, it has even become more important considering the events that are happening.

Parents feel a bit more secured when their child has a cellphone as they can contact their child anytime.

I feel cellphone should not be banned in the institutions but the signal should be barred in the classrooms. Other than classrooms, students should have the luxury to use the cellphone. In classrooms, all signals should be banned.

This would not only help teachers to concentrate in class better, but it would also help students as some of the teachers disturb the momentum with their phones.

Thus cellphones should not be banned but signals in classrooms should be banned.
