CAT 2016 extends deadline for submission of application forms by 5 days

Bengaluru, 22 September, 2016: In a press release issued today, the office of the Convenor CAT 2016 has announced an extension of the deadline for submission of application forms by exactly 5 days. The new deadline is 5:00 p.m. on 27th September. “The primary reason for the extension is to facilitate the applicants who are still in the process of completing their applications. There are many applicants in this stage, and we have been getting a lot of requests from them,” said Professor Rajendra K Bandi, Convenor, CAT 2016.

“The total number of submitted applications (as at 3:30 p.m.) is 2.08 lakhs, which is far in excess of the applications for the comparable period last year. This number is expected to go up further by 5:00 p.m. today, the original deadline. The corresponding number last year was 1.83 lakhs,” Prof. Bandi added.

The extension of the deadline has been notified on the CAT website.
