Case study: To what extent a company can sell its Brand Name????????

Hi Friends ,


I am in recruiting and i found some thing intresting..


I am recruiting for one of the worlds best BPO.....


This company is very large , carries very good brand image , good will , offers best environment to work for, Best growth prospects , Good HR policies , Logistics etc...........but does not pay good...I can say lowest in the industry..

This company never compromises on quality...so looks for the creamy layer of the talent pool.......

But a candidate having this qaulity has got tooooo many options from the industy.......almost 100% more pay packages...............

So most of the candidates are rejecting offers,,,,,,,,,,,,, Well I don't blame them....

Ppl who don't have any financial needs, or who are well aware of the value of this company (Value of Brand name) are only joining here and only to learn things ...

Ppl who are compromising on pay package in the initial stages are soon quiting the job after learning things....

I feel though things look rosy for now , this company may have to pay for this.its own brandname is going to make things difficult .....

So friends please give your opinions ,

Should a Company use its good will , and brand name as an excuse to pay low.......

I read that the company's good will should help to attract the best talent and to retain the pool ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Should a company use it to pay lowwww????????

hey abhi i think thaat company is goin wrong as u said they should use their brand valu n goodwill to attract the best in the market of same industry n pay them quite well so that the employees r satisfied .
by d way abhi don u want money hmmmmmm as ur here only y so ????????
 
hai i read what u have stated about ur company...
at this point i would like to share my own experience. i am doing my MBA now ..but after my Ug I worked in a bpo..it was transworks..owned by the brila group. i went to blore , got the job the same day.when compared to other companies the pay was less.but on the first day of my work.the brilas inspired me.the kind of image they had made me think i am great because i am a part of them.the environment, the work culture, the hr process,the travel, everything was pakka..the training,everything was perfect..we, i remember 9 of us joined.i had to quit not beacause of pay.calling people or answering calls was not my cup of tea.rather i would say i am here to do something else, something better.so came to do my mba,rest of them still work with that company.
they are happy,
they dont wanna change the job...
WHY, WHATS THE REASON....
nothing but the name , the brand name, their expertise in managing the business makes a lot of difference than those who just pay more.
I feel brand name should not be used as a tool to exploit people..rather even when they r low but satisfactory is not going to do any harm to the organisation.
