Can salary be major factor for employee Satisfaction?

It is , one stick to a company only for 3 reasons - challange of the job, money and growth of the company. So yup, money is 1/3 rd of the consideration set.

Yes, if you consider the factors that are important for employee satisfaction like salary, incentives, trophies, certificates, etc etc.., then the salary would definitely account for 60% of the satisfaction of the employees. People have a perception which they nurture strongly - if you have money everything becomes easy. So, a good pay is extremely crucial for employee satisfaction.

Salary will be not major factor for job satisfaction!!!! For me apart from money a person enjoy its job to the fullesr extend if an employee enjoy its job he will give ts 100% and vice versa....factors like infrastruture, culture and enivornment of the ompany also layss a major role

I think so this question is general question in that manner i am giving u answer.

Not in all cases but in few cases salary is major factor. because many people having habit of changing job for getting higher offer as well as higher post in the organization. but after curtain age of the person he or she will conc. on their family. this means age also matter for changing mind set of human.

Their are a lot of facters which are effecting the customer satisfaction other than salary like brand name, work enviornment, company response towards the employees but salary is the most crucial factor for employee satisfaction because it fullfill the personal as well as social needs of an individual and creates a good lifestyle.

salary can be a factor but not a priority. A recent survey taking in our company showed salary at fourth place with communication to supervisors being 1st.

Well i would say dat salary is important but job satisfaction is the most important....a job dat include good salary package ,provides environment 4 growth ,inclined 2wards learning...n continue to provide value......

i dnt think so...i know people who have been in an industry for more than 15 years...and still getting measely salaries.....

HI ALL,

salary is an imp factor but the job conditions & responsibilities also plays a major role. They both are like oxygen & water. Both are needed for the survival

Maslow's hierarchy is what we should highlight. Salary is a temporary form of platform for appeasing an employee, eventually he will want a range of others, including self fulfillment that comes with corporate ambition. So there are no major factors to address here, every factor is as important as the last.

yes definately. it will help you in getting to kno what everyone's opinion is on this..and that is the point of a survey.

Hello All,

I am doing summer project for ESS. I have included questions related to salary in the survey que.
Is it ok to include such que. in survey?

Thanks,

Sonali

NO.though salery is the major factor in deciding the satisfaction level.
But salery is not the only factor deciding it...with high salery still you may not be satisfied..and with low paid salery you can never be satisfied...
because want of more is a human...

salary is most important element which determines d employee's satisfaction..other major parameter are like working culture, job profile, career growth.....

Yes, Salary is an important factor in employee satisfaction. i think salary act as a motivator for an employee to work better and expect more in return..!!!
