It is impossible to ban alchohal as there would be chaos in our country if government does so, because now it has become a mandatory thing in many people's life, they cant live without it.

One thing that government could do is that, it can raise the taxes on alchohal to make it more expensive, so that people think before purchasing it. It could reduce the consumption in some or the other way.

It would be better if government tries to reduce the availability of Alcoholic drinks and don't care much about the revenue it generates from it..Availability at every nook and corner makes it easy for people to get it..

I feel it alcohol consumption is more of a personal choice, and as such it should not be "banned".. but there could be enough deterrent, yes, imposing taxes is one way! But this only leads to increase in illegal trade!

yes it should be banned because it has adverse effects not only on individuals but also on their families

I do not think that alcohol will be banned in India by the Government, even though it has its negatives. There are also positive things that are attached to it. For example, it gives a good amount of revenue to the Govt. Plus even if high taxes are levied, people will still buy it.

On the brighter side, we also need to take a look at the Booming wine making business that has flourished in Nasik. The wines produced in Nasik, Maharashtra are world renowned. It also brings in good forex.

I do not think so that banned on alcohol in India will put any effect.. or restrict shops when some thing giving revenue to government then what is matter to banned.... rest it depend on personal choice how much you can take or how much you should take....
other side if government ban on it then it will available on double rates because those want to have they will purchase but government will earn same tax as usual...
so banning is not a solution what we should do we should make self principal that no one other effect due to your behave or other activity....

Even i don't think so. Actually the government should stop encouraging the production of liquours and should seal the shops which are into this kind of serious business. If such strict regulation is brought into effect then we can expect a liquor free India in future.

even i think alchohal can't be bannedin country....people will go mad...and which will result in an outbreak!!! for govt...

look if you think from social point of view, alcohol must be bann in india to keep society safe. but if you thik from business you cannot banned alcohol. such huge contributor alcohol in terms of business
