FUN FACTS

  • “Cadbury Dairy Milk” is the oldest chocolate brand in the country.

  • Three names were originally considered "Jersey", "Highland Milk" and "Dairy Maid" which led to "Dairy Milk".

  • "Cadbury" was the first company to include pictures instead of printed text on chocolate boxes.

  • "Cadbury" sells over "3.5 million" boxes of chocolate every year.

  • "Cadbury" uses "33,000 litres" of milk every day for chocolate production at its "Dunedin Plant".

  • The total weight of "Cadbury Dairy Milk" produced in one year is equivalent to 51,641 minis or 7,230 Indian elephants.

  • If all the blocks of "Cadbury Dairy Milk" produced since 1930 were placed end to end, the would stretch from "Cadburys Dunedin Factory" to the moon.

  • If all the “Cadbury Creme Eggs” made each year were laid end to end, they would circle the planet.

  • If you laid all of the “Roses units” made in a year from end to end, they would stretch from “London to New York” and back again.

  • Workers on the “Bournville Production Line” work a 12-hour shift. They have two 18 minute breaks during the shift and meal break of 42 minutes after six hours. They will work for four days and then have four days off.

  • A “Cadbury Moro Bar” is consumed once every two seconds. If stacked end to end the amount of Moro’s consumed every year by New Zealanders would be 500 times the height of “Mount Cook”

  • The First Box of "Valentine's Day Chocolate": It's no surprise that "Richard Cadbury" came up with the idea for the first heart-shaped box of chocolates in the year 1861. Seven years later, "John Cadbury" began mass producing them, and, of course, several companies produce them today.

  • The largest moulded bar in the world was made by "Cadbury Limited" in "October 1998" to celebrate the re-launch of Cadbury Dairy Milk. (The giant 1.1 tonne block was nearly 9ft high and 4 ft wide. It would take an average person 120 years to eat).
  • The "Cocoa trees in Kerala" are called "Cadbury trees".
