Sample consulting projects For Securicor (now Group 4 Securicor plc), the leading global security services company, worked
with the Executive Board to identify new growth opportunities. Led strategic planning phase and
developed growth strategy as value-incubation portfolio (new corporate ventures division; Securicor’s
own venturing opportunities). Designed and managed strategy implementation project, focusing on
setting up the new division (business incubation processes; IT infrastructure). Evaluated business
cases and managed joint client/consulting team in prototyping initial incubated opportunities. Acted as
interim strategy director for commercializing one of the incubated ventures, an online secure payments
portal service.

For Wembley plc, the international tourism, leisure and entertainment company, worked with the
Managing Director of the Ticketing business unit to identify new growth opportunities and reverse the
unit’s loss-making performance. Led strategic planning phase and developed turnaround strategy as
value-restructuring portfolio (divest business unit; set up new online ticketing channel; develop new
back-end ticketing services through online joint ventures). Designed and managed strategy
implementation project, focusing on the business case evaluation of these options, which led to
change management project for divesting the Ticketing unit. Divestment resulted in annual cost
savings of £1 million.

For UBS, the leading Swiss bank, worked with the Chief Executive Officer of the Wealth Management
division to enhance productivity, by improving coordination of resources (experts, knowledge) across
the division. Led strategic planning phase and developed business-change portfolio (innovative
business collaboration framework; rationalization of IT infrastructure; culture change). Designed and
managed change implementation project, focusing on piloting the collaboration framework in the client
advisory process. Evaluated business case for pilot implementation. Managed reengineering of client
advisory process and deployment of collaborative working infrastructure (coordination processes,
enterprise portals, application sharing tools, collaborative learning).

For Esat BT, the Irish subsidiary of British Telecom, worked with the Managing Director of the
Business Customers division to accelerate growth, by relaunching failing rollout of new services. Led
project planning phase and developed launch strategy as value-critical portfolio (five services to
launch, for revenue growth; customer migration to new network access method, for cost savings).
Managed launch implementation project, focusing on process design for the new services (sales
process; customer migration process; account activation process) and deployment of new billing IT
infrastructure. Services launched as planned, resulting in immediate revenue generation; customer
migration led to annual cost savings of €2.5 million.
