Film and television institute of India (FTII) is so feeble that they have to appoint Gajendra Chauhan as their chairman. FTII is one of the prestigious institute and myriads of celebrities are associated with it. Appointing Gajendra as a chairman is repugnance act and students are vivaciously protesting the decision. It gain momentum when sly and several prominent film personalities extended their support to the student’s protest. Bollywood celebrities reprimanded Gajendra for not willing to step back. Students stress might have reduced after personalities like Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Anupam Kher took their side.

Rishi Kapoor attack on Gajendra became trend on twitter and most of them were supporting his viewpoints. "Don't fight for your post. What will you teach to the students who are against you," Kapoor had tweeted. Unrelenting tweet from him have heated the argument further. "If they don't want you, they don't want you. By pushing for the chairmanship is getting you nowhere. Let self pride play a role and retire!" said Kapoor and concluded with an advice, "Advice. After all the protests and controversy, Gajendra Chauhan, the FTII Chairman should voluntarily retire. Will do good to the students."

Ranbir too has taken side of the protesting students stating. "The body of work of the chairman should be inspiring, which is not the case with Chauhan,"

Tom Alter, an FTII alumni and governing council member, said: "The chairman's position requires, to put it politely, intellectual capacity and expertise of cinematic art. He does have experience of cinema but he (Chauhan) does not have the expertise, nor the background and knowledge to be the chairman."

Well, it seems like these conflict is never going to end. If you are not capable of handling and understanding the issues of students then the simple step to avoid embarrassment is to step down and allow better candidate to handle the matter finically.
