Hey guys.. m in 12th (syjc) right now and i am extremely confused whether i should do BMS or BMM... my interests in both the fields are equal.. so the decision narrows down to the future prospects of BMS and BMM... and just to give the background, if i do BMS it will be so that i can continue with HR.. m not very much interested in finance or management.

So can someone please tell about:
1. What courses can one do after 1>BMS(except MBA) and 2>BMM?

2. What kind jobs can one expect after 1>BMS and 2>BMM?

3. What are the salaries one should expect on completing 1> BMS, 2> BMM, 3> MBA in hr?

4. What exactly is BMS specialization? I mean can we specialize in one subject (like hr) right from BMS?

BMM and BMS cannot be compared as both the courses have their own subjects...BMM - Focuses on mass media while BMS - focuses on Management..BMM needs more creativity according to their subjects.Their presentations are also very creative. BMS being related to management they have more of theory and the projects are related to magement. in Bms, subjects like PR,FHS,EC ....alot of creativity can be used..If a BMM student does BMS he will be able to make a good presentation with regards to slides ....Same way if a Bms student does Bmm he can make a good analysis and theory on the project...Well i may be wrong in what im saying...But different people , different opinion!

I have completed my graduation from BMM. It totally depends on your interest, I know that students get confused regarding their career and for that reason, i would tell some important aspects related to BMM. If you can relate yourself then,go for it.

BMM is all about Media
BMM comprises of various subjects such as Public relations,Advertising, journalism,Media planning and Buying,Photographer,Writer and so on. BMM will accept you if you are creative and passionate always think out of the blue.

BMM covers wide array of subjects So, it opens number of gates and from that you can choose the field which excites you. BMM studies is very easy but, internships are more important than marks. If you think that you can adjust yourself in such ambience then, just go for it.:SugarwareZ-297:

BMS - Bachelor of Management Studies or BMS is an undergraduate program for management studies offered by many universities throughout the world. The course allows you to obtain the knowledge and skills needed to assume management positions in a wide range of organizations.

Plus points of BMS -

  • Versatility
  • An Alternative To BBA
  • Professional Course
  • Better Salaries
  • Further Studies
  • Administration And Operations.
  • Project Management (Executive Level)
  • Enterprise Management.

BMM, also known as Bachelor of Mass Media, is an undergraduate course, essentially about the different means of media communication used by the masses, such as newspapers, magazines, cinema films, radio, television, etc.

Disadvantages:

1. It is just Bachelor Degree so LESS Preferred by the industry when Senior Students are available in the same salary.
2. The syllabus is Entry Level Syllabus only.
3. B.J. M. C. or B. M. does not get a specialisation at all. Most of the Universities in B.M.M. doesn't deliver real Professional Skills

Advantages:
1. Basic Qualification to get JOBS is Bachelor Degree in B. M. or BJMC
2. If one does B. M. with Skills and Concern, a GOOD JOB is still possible at this early age.
