Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii
U.S President Barack Obama celebrated Diwali on Thursday by lighting the ceremonial lamp at the White House amidst chanting of Vedic mantras seeking world peace. He is the first U.S. President to personally grace the occasion.

“I think it’s fitting that we begin this work in the week leading up to the holiday of Diwali — the festival of lights — when members of some of the world’s greatest faiths celebrate the triumph of good over evil,” Mr. Obama said at the function held at the historic East Room.

Diwali celebrated by US president is a good example set by Mr.Obama for the society its a nice way to make close relations with Indians as American president have always said that India is their major strategic ally in Asian-Pacific regions and ya also he have a faith in Hanuman ji and ya Indian culture so its good that Diwali has been celebrated in White house. Its a win of our culture and traditions.

This clearly shows the secular nature of President and the respect he has for indians and their culture. Indo-American relations are approaching new heights.Good relations with democratic super power is good for indian peoples point of view.
