Ban smoking in public spaces

Hello guys,

It is very difficult to properly scientifically measure the risk for non-smokers of being exposed to second-hand smoke. To do a proper experiment, scientists would need to find a large group of people who had never been exposed to cigarette smoke before, split them into two groups, and then systematically expose one group to second-hand smoke for a period of time while the other group stayed smoke-free.

They would then have to wait and see if more of the group exposed to second-hand smoke developed lung cancer than the other group over their lives. This would be a very expensive and time-consuming experiment.

I agree with you. I am also a smoker and want to quit it but it can't done by me. Have you any idea to quit it? If yes than must share it here with me. I really need it badly. Thanks in advance.

absolutely its should be banned..i hate when people smoke at your face specially near eating areas...u cough or do whatever they are least bothered...i m totally with it

absolutely its should be banned. Many places it is banned but peoples countinously break the law so i hope management is failiur because in India our law and order is liberal

I agree with you.Smoking is injurious to health and the government announces do not smoke in public places but people can't follow this rule properly most i see many aged peoples near of 60 year age smoke on public places.

Do you really think, it would be effective in a country like India? Many a times I've come across a driver of a public transport puffing away to glory sitting on the steering wheel. Only harshest punishments as in Singapore would help the people to mend their ways.
