Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Chennai, invites applications for admissions to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Master of Technology (M.Tech), Diploma & PG Diploma programmes, commencing in 2014.

CIPET is the premier national Institution fully devoted to Academic, Technology Support & Research (ATR) activities for the growth of Polymer & allied industries in the country.

The Programmes are Offered:

• Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT): (3 years)
• Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT) (3 years)
• Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Design with CAD/CAM: (1½ years)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (PGD-PPT: (1½ years)

Postgraduate Degree Programs:

• M.E. / M.Tech in Plastics Engg/ Technology: (2 years)
• M.Tech in Polymer Nano-Technology: (2 years)
• Master of Engg in CAD/CAM (M.E. (CAD/CAM): (2 years)
• M.Sc Tech (Material Science and Engg): (5 years)
• M.Sc (Polymer Science): (2 years)
• M.Sc (Bio-Polymer Science): (2 years)

Undergraduate Degree Programs:

• B.E/ B.Tech in Plastics Engg/ Technology (BE/ B.Tech (PE/PT): (4 years)
• B.E / B.Tech in Manufacturing Engg/Technology (BE/ B.Tech (ME / MT): (4 years)

Selection Procedure:

• CIPET Programs - Based on academic record and performance in the Joint Entrance Examination
• PG Programs - Selection through respective affiliating University norms / through CIPET JEE
• UG Programs - Selection through respective affiliating University as per their norms

Important Dates:

• Last date for the submission of application form: 13th June 2014
• Joint Entrance Examination date: 13th July 2014
• Release of JEE Results: 01st week of August 2014
• Commencement of Academic Session: 11th August 2014
