Well this is one of the hot topic for debate. we are developing in terms of economy etc but i think we are getting backward in terms of mindset. we are fighting for regions, and spreading regionalism by trusting on few selfish politicians. I would like to know you views that are you Marathi,Gujarati,Punjabi etc or an INDIAN.

i am indian ist my friend regionalism is the gift of our corrupt politicians they dont have integrity towards our nation they just wanted to ignite the regional feelings among the masses and wanna 2 increasse dere vote bank

Any indian with a sane mind would say he is an indian first.

Politicians are just screwing up the country similar to what the britishers did hundreds of years ago. The divide and rule policy.

I am an Indian first and then comes my state.. I dont know why everyone is so concerned about it now.. Such an issue never came up after 1947.. Though India is divided on the basis of language, still we all are Indians first and then Marathi, Gujju and so on and then Hindus & Muslims.. Its actually the bad and anit-social elements that are hell bent on creating a divide between us.. Eventually they all will enjoy and its the common man who is getting hurt in this..

Always, an INDIAN first... everything else can wait...

When you go to a different country (say on a trip) and if someone happen to ask you which part of the world you belong... you don't take the name of the state.. you say I am from INDIA and believe me when you say that you get a great feeling and for a brief moment you are proud of being an INDIAN
So let that moment cherish our Unity... and let the politicians screws themselves up... they won't last longer anyway

VERY WELL SAID BY SHIV YES FRM THE NEXT TIME I WILL TRY IT BRO.
ONE THOUGHT ALSO REVOLVES IN MY MIND THAT DEVELOPMENT OF ANY CONTRY DEPENDS ON THE MINDSET OF ITS CITIZENS UNTILL AND UNLESS WE WE WOULD NOT STOP FIGHTING ON THE NAME OF THE RELIGION ITS VERY DIFFICULT FOR INDIA TO BECOME DEVELOPED COUNTRY SO
"BE INDIAN AND LOVE INDIANS "

this question should not have arrised at all .offcourse i am an indian first and proud to be an indian.i think there is fundamentally something wrong with our constitution thats why all this issues.any way most of the frame works are copied .

I think Shiv Sena and MNS have defaced the name of Maharashtra.. once it used to be said with awe and pride ..as being the most forward sate with the best city in India - Mumbai ...
now the only thing that strikes mind when one says Maharashtra is Marathi manoos... who is not bad but now is projected as a fearful, loser person who does not have the ability to compete for a job with the north indians, which is truly shameful.

Its true Mumbai or Bombay.. i prefer the latter one.. is now getting over congested ..and there should some measure to curb it.

obviosly an indian first. we get our birthcertificate for the country which we belong to and not for the state.

u actually realize the importance of ur identity.... wn u become a part of sum other country n then it doesnt matter weather u r a marathi or a gujarati....
wt matters is whether u r an Indian or nt??:SugarwareZ-167:

Just A Food For Think for the Thread.

One tourist went to his Domicile from India.
His friend asked, "Have you meet any Indian there?"

The India returned replied, "I met a Marathi, I met a Punjabi, I met a Bengali, I met a Tamil. But Shockingly, I didn't find any Indian".

I am an Indian first and then comes my state..................I liked Rahul Gandhi`s statement a lot which goes like this "My father was born in Mumbai and my mother in Italy. My greatgrandfather was born in Allahabad, and he also had origins in J&K. I live in Delhi. Where should I say I belong to? I know one thing—that I am an Indian and belong to India "
