Are men better cooks than women?

a lot of men dont cook actually, but who do ,they are excellent like me,s o i wuld say men are more talented ,but they are not in agreat no. so women r better

i think who cooks better has nothing to do with the gender...women usually cook at home on a daily basis...men cook professionally as chefs...the more u get used 2, d more 1 becomes better at it....

I think it's fairly common for men who do cook to be good cooks.

Those that don't like doing it, tend to live off of takeout and microwave meals when single. And tend to rely on their partner when in a relationship.

Those that do cook, often do so because they like doing it, and we tend to become good at what we like doing.

I think its more common that women learn to cook because of need or the difference in gender upbringing. Those that like doing it are every bit as good as men, but you'll find more women than men who just simply do it because they have to or get fed that role in a relationship

Not really. Women are born cooks while men only follow in their footsteps. That is why I am always accompanied by a lady on my show who assists me in cooking. I simply feel more confident in their company. Women are better cooks hands-down.

I think women are good with cooking more conventional and homely dishes, but when it comes to showing creativity and taking risks with cooking, men do a better job. That is probably the reason why male chefs get to become more popular than their female counterparts.

In a professional setting, men are better than women. I think that has to do with the long hours and hard work. Women would rather be eating bon-bons. Thinking about sweets... women seem to be drawn towards pastries and being a pastry che while bread making has more men... again, kneading dough requires strength and is odd hours. lol

For the home cook, it's a toss-up.

Edit... I have no doubt that Cookie can work circles around me in the kitchen... The question was asked about men and women "in general" You are the exception to the rule.

With your expertise and inside experience, why do you think there are fewer female chefs than male chefs?

If you're really honest about it, you'll agree that NJ and myself are closer to being on the mark on why there aren't more female chefs.
