Annual Sports Meet held at Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi

Sports play a large role in our culture because they teach people so many skills and values: the importance of teamwork, the value of hard work and practice, the thrill of victory, and how to cope with defeat. These values play an important role in achieving our goals in work, academia, and personal relationships.

Keeping in mind the same, Asia Pacific Institute of Management, organized its Annual Sports Meet, on 18th January, 2013 at its campus & at Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Jasola, Delhi.

The young sportsmen participated and displayed their talent and enthusiasm in various Outdoor games like Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Badminton, Tug-of-War, etc and Indoor Games like Chess, Carom, Table Tennis, Arm-Wrestling, etc.

While addressing the students at the Inauguration ceremony, the Director Dr. D. K. Batra, said, “Students are busy in the learning process with Books, Lectures, Labs etc but Extra curricular activities specially Sports are also necessary to keep them fresh and fit.”

The Dean(Academics), Dr. Chetan Bajaj, also congratulated students on being so bright in sports, along with their studies.

The Sports Coordinators Prof. Ravinder Bhatia, Ms. Charu Bharti & Dr. R Ganesan, also taught the students that “The Sportsmen spirit is necessary, without thinking of success or failure”.

The atmosphere was electric, with cheering spectators and enthusiastic participants creating a festive and energetic environment. The sports meet not only provided a platform for students to showcase their athletic prowess but also served as a means to foster teamwork, leadership, and a sense of community among the institute's diverse student body. As the sun set on the successful day of sports, the closing ceremony saw the distribution of medals and trophies to the winners, with special recognition given to those who demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and dedication. The event concluded with a promise to make the next Annual Sports Meet even more exciting and inclusive.
