Introduction
Kenya is one of the developing countries being confronted by an increasingly uncertain international economic en-
vironment. High levels of debt, slow growth and expansionary. Today organizations are looking to increase reve-
nue, decrease costs, and maintain customer relationships. Revenue being a very important factor in the survival of
an organization in the market place, every organization whether Government or Private Sector ought to be able to
strike a balance between the amounts of revenue collected and what the company spends. A number of organiza-
tions both in private and public sector have become less sustainable as they are confronted with escalating uncol-
lectible consumer debt and service delivery backlogs. The challenge facing most organizations in Kenya is to suc-
cessfully turnaround the current declining position and to build sustainable firms for the future. Revenue enhance-
ment is one of the arsenals of “turn around strategies” that can and should be used to address the challenge. An
effective revenue collection system ensures zero or minimal leakages in the collection process and that the com-
pany gets maximum returns from its activities. Implementing a revenue enhancement turnaround strategy can only
be achieved by critically reviewing the current revenue management business models and processes being ap-
plied within the various organizations. To effectively deal with the current challenges, organizations must plan and
implement effective and integrated revenue enhancement strategies. To ensure efficient revenue collection and
debt management for the firm, the organization must ensure their staffs are sufficiently empowered in terms of
knowledge and resources to carry out this activity. Studies show that most members of staff tasked with collecting
