BIBS MBA
The classrooms at BIBS expand beyond the boundaries of its campus. The Institution believes in imparting knowledge which will be an asset for lifetime. In one of such sessions, we had the opportunity of having Dr. Vikas K. Agarwal, a senior oncosurgeon and a representative of the Global Cancer Trust with us. Global Cancer Trust is a renowned organization, which aims to spread awareness about cancer in the world.

They began the session by saying – “Cigarette smoking is a greater threat to our nation than the terrorists”. Smoking one cigarette can take away 15 minutes from our life. The pan masala that sells like hotcake is the rejected residue which is imported to India, and is the reason behind major health hazards.

It was later explained that will power is the most important attribute required if a person wants to quit smoking. At the end of the session, we were introduced to an oral cancer patient who had been operated recently.

“Smoking is injurious to health”, we see this phrase at many places. The trust wants to emphasizes on the fact - are we really serious about the hazards that it causes. We have vowed with the organization to spread awareness about cancer and prevent our close ones from smoking or chewing tobacco products. Let’s take a step towards better living.

We thank Dr. Agarwal and his team for sharing with us the seriousness of the issue which often gets ignored!
