Well, we all embrace a kid and their smiles make us forget our own pain and sorrow. But, sometimes a hug can also cause you myriads of trouble and make a ginormous hole in your budget and in your destiny. It is reported that A New Yorker is suing her 12-year-old nephew for giving her a hug that broke her wrist. Jennifer Connell, a 54-year-old, visited her nephew Sean Tarala's family home in the state for his eighth birthday party in 2011.
All of a sudden he was there in the air, I had to catch him and we tumbled onto the ground. I remember him shouting, ‘Auntie Jen I love you,’ and there he was flying at me. Connell said that she hadn't let on at the time she was hurt so as not to spoil the party, but testified that life has been difficult since she sustained her injury, which is why she is now suing the 12-year-old for £83,000 for his “negligent” and “careless” affection.
