HISTORY -
Amrita School of Business (ASB), earlier known as Amrita Institute of Management, started in 1996 by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math is a constituent of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, which has evolved as a vibrant, value based, inter-disciplinary multi-campus Deemed University.

Campus Information -
- Fully residential 380-acre hillside tranquil campus amidst Western Ghats.
- Self-contained University township supporting 2500 students, 90 faculty and staff and residential blocks and independent hostels for under graduate and post graduate students (Men and women)
- Sports infrastructure includes - a football ground, 2 cricket pitches, 4 tennis courts (two synthetic and two clay), courts for volleyball, basketball, badminton and indoor games like badminton, table tennis and weightlifting
- Multigym with 8 stations
- Attend "Distinguished Lecture Sessions" through India's first ever multi-campus linked satellite network where eminent persons and business/thought leaders address students via satellite from the University campuses in Coimbatore, Cochin, Amritapuri or Bangalore.
- Nature-fresh, environment friendly campus with all residents including students respecting a campus lifestyle of vegetarian diet and free from intoxicants of any kind.

- Indigenously developed Super-Computer Sudhamani 3.6, that when launched (in 2003) was the 47th largest super computing cluster in the world. Sudhamani has 45 nodes with a peak performance of over 207 Gflops, and is about 40 to 50 times more powerful that the Param 10000 Super Computer existing in the campus.
- Fail safe internet access over Leased Wireless (WiFi) network environment and VSAT links.
- Desktops installed with the state of the art operating systems, programming language compilers and advanced tools.
