even in andhra pradesh the government gets its major revenue from alcohol sales only and thats the reason its giving away licenses to the wine shops and spoiling the people with its own hands
 
A new report from the Independent Scientific Committee on Drugs has found alcohol to be more dangerous than illegal drugs. The organisation, led by David Nutt, scored the drugs on a scale of 1-100 based on mental and physical damage, addiction, crime and costs to the economy and communities.
 
Well I do not think if we allow the law to work on its own and allow drinking for people only having age greater than 21 then what is the problem. Even our prime ministers toast in the name of some achievements. There is no problem in drinking alcohol until it gets a hold on you. At this stage it is written that we can not take a stance that it should be stopped since so many people are benefited by it even our state govt gets a major source of money from this sector only so it is okk.

Besides that Alchohal is basically preferable for drinking in the cold weather countries.It keeps your body hot & assists in maintaning the optimum body temprature. It can saves one's life from getting wrecked by cold. It is advisable for the north west / north east people. but when it comes to addiction, it can be fatal. Alchohal is not so harmfull as we think but it can be destructive in some time. basically it's how the person perceive it.

Evidence is mounting that this policy has not only exacerbated many public health problems, such as adulterated drugs and the spread of HIV and hepatitis B and C infection among injecting drug users, but has created a much larger set of secondary harms associated with the criminal market. These now include vast networks of organised crime, endemic violence related to the drug market, corruption of law enforcement and governments.
 
Even I agree with the comment.It is indeed injurious and inspite of knowing this fact people consume it.Infact day by day its victims are increasing and its coverage of market is expanding
 
Alcohol consumption is increasing day by day and there is no stopping the fast growing consumption rate. People are making alcohol a part of their celebration. In states like kerala the beverages corporation is one of the major contributors of revenue to the government. Its high time that youngsters like us should come and fight against this menace. The amount of families which has been destroyed due to the alcohol consumption is in front of our eyes but still we dont tend to react to alla these cruelties around us...
 
I use to think it was socially acceptable but now I just see it as a dangerous drug. All teenagers and young people seem to want to do is drink drink drink and not because they particularly enjoy it but just to get pissed ! And the amount of crime being committed now by people fulled with booze is growing ever higher.
