ADVERTISING
Advertising is defined as an art of promoting by using creative and innovational ideas. Main aim of advertising is build the positive image of product in the minds of consumers and if the image of product will be positive in consumer’s mind then automatically it will result in the increase in sales, revenue and profitability. Advertising agency is defined as an organization which designs the promotional advertisements and ad campaigns for a particular client (company).
The First advertising agency was setup in 1841 in U.S.A and newspaper was the only advertisement media at that time.
In 19th century there was a beginning of brand advertising which was not there when first ad agency was setup
In 1960s and 1970s with the emergence of media like magazines and radio advertisement became more creative and the range and coverage of advertisements increased. Focus of ads of that time was on making image of product in the mind of users with image of company. Ex- Washing Powder NIRMA
From 1980s till now advertisements focus on building a brand because if company succeeds in making itself brand sales and profitability of firm automatically rises.
I think advertisements are more for brand building have you ever think whenever we take name of PIZZA why always the first name come in our mind is PIZZA HUT or DOMINOS because they are brands or we can say that they are established brands. Same in case of footwear first name come to our mind is either ADIDAS or NIKE or WOODLAND.
It’s all because of hard work of advertising agencies. There is also a great scope of career in such agencies if you are creative and have passion to join field you can have a good career in it.

I want you all to suggest new ideas for advertisement and promotion,
Name the product whose advertisement you like with reason and if you don’t like any advertisement than also write the name of product and reason for disliking because
I think this will help companies in improving their product and advertisement.
