You possess ideas!
Some of them get accepted whereas few get rejected. But have you ever pondered over the thought why do get rejected? Or is this the scenario always!
The fact says that it’s really easy to blame others and reject the ideas but when it comes to self we question why we believe our idea is the best and why the hell it got rejected?
Imagine if you had to learn the names of everything, every day when you woke up. It is said that out of the 80,000 thoughts we have each day, 60,000 are exactly the same as yesterday.
But have you thought how many of your own ideas you are rejecting? Our brain processes a tremendous amount of information. To make sense of the world we learn to create patterns and filter out information. We create rules for ourselves. Once we have learnt a set of rules on a conscious level we move to our subconscious.
People those who accept your idea come under the following category;
The ones who are passionate about your idea. I mean you yourself.
Your family friends and all your supporters at place,
The ones who praise in front of you and back stab you, without the true faces.
Now consider reasons as to why your articles get rejected:
May be because you lack credibility, already were turned off by your shaggy hair and creased shirt. Now it's your know-it-all air, not your ideas, they'll recall.
Your relationship with the people you are presenting your ideas to, and their perceptions of you, can have a profound effect on their reaction to your solution. These factors are very complex and often have been created over many years.
Many people have an in-built suspicion of solutions which Ire highly innovative, or yield high rewards by a simple method which seems 'too good to be true'.
They might even get rejected if you aren’t properly planned, with your ideas. Or if it can also happen that you are enable to present the idea in front of people, this problem is due to lack of efficient communication.
Well many a times people also blame luck being not on their side hence they could not succeed.
May be you are at the wrong place communicating ideas to such people who either aren’t interested in you or already possess one who has fulfilled their criteria.
When your ideas get rejected, don’t lose heart. Accept The new challenge. What you need to do is get to know the reasons behind the same in the form of a feedback from the ones to whom you have put forward the ideas. So that you at least the rough/basic idea why your idea wasn’t accepted.
Ask few of the questions such as:
Who does the problem affect to?
What are problems they are confronting?
Does the solution call for major changes, and who will be affected most?
Does the solution have adverse side-effects, and for whom?
Is the solution unusual, and in what ways?
Does its implementation require exceptional cooperation or action by any individuals, and how?
If you yourself make yourself ready for opposition as well as ready to answer their negative comments you will prepare yourself for the negative which will keep your confidence level at par.
Be enthusiastic enough to present your ideas, the positive image of your own plan should be developed by self first. Then it will be appreciated by others, once you fulfill your expectations and once you get satisfied with your own performance. You will be able to convince others about your ideas in totality.
You will put in the list of resources that you need, but you should also put in the details as regards the cost structure and profitability aspects of the project in your plan or presentation. Because the project or the idea should benefit both the parties.
Don't try to suppress objections. If you don't give people the opportunity to explain their objections you can create the impression that you are trying to 'gloss over' flaws in your solution and you deny yourself the opportunity to overcome the objections. Never argue with, or try to 'put down' someone who raises an objection. Your earlier analysis should have prepared you to overcome most objections.
Well the next time you feel low because of some rejected of any sort, make yourself ready for another proposal wherein you put in more of your efforts and do not repeat the mistakes again in the new one.
