ABHIGYAAN’12 – THE ULTIMATE UNDERGRADUATE FEST
Abhigyaan – The Ultimate Undergraduate Fest is conducted every year at our institute campus. The objective of Abhigyaan is to provide the undergraduate students the taste of life in a premier B-school. The participants get to interact with the PGDM students and also the faculty of our institute.
Abhigyaan’12 was conducted on 1st and 2nd October 2012 and was a huge success. There were about 450 participants in various events. The quality of students this time around was marvellous. They exhibited utmost level of competitiveness in all the events.
Students came from various institutes from all over South India. To name a few, Madras Christian College (Chennai), Christ University (Bangalore), Alliance University (Bangalore), Govinda Dasa College (Suratkal), Shri Jayachamrajendra College of Engineering (Mysore), National Institute of Engineering (Mysore), Vidyashram First Grade College (Mysore), Vidya Vikas First Grade College (Mysore), etc. These kinds of events test the knowledge, skills, ability and managerial insight of the participants.
The events were planned and managed by team Samprati and various volunteers from the first year while, the students of second year helped in judging various events with the faculty members. Fests on such a large scale allow the organisers to practice many management skills learnt during their classroom sessions.
The following are the event-wise winners of Abhigyaan’12:
Dossier was won by Jithin Jacob Mathew and Ganesh Gopal from Madras Christian College, Chennai and the runners up were Sambhav Shah and Ritika Gupta from Vidyasharm First Grade College, Mysore.
Crazy Com was won by Vinamra Garg, Kaustav Tainwala, Arushi Chhabra and Ankur Bachhawat from Christ University, Bangalore and the runners up were Adithya, Kevin Paul, Ashwin R.G and Sunjay Nair from Sri Jayachamarajendra College Of Engineering, Mysore.
Psychedelic was bagged by Karthik Prashanth K.A and Sharath Kumar H.M from Vidya Vikas First Grade College, Mysore and the runners up were Ruchika M and Deepna Kaveriappa Sullimada from Vidyasharm First Grade College, Mysore.
Melange was won by Alfredo Jaison, Aswin Rajan Varghese and Jithin Jacob Mathew from Madras Christian College, Chennai and the team bagging the second prize comprised of A.C. Vivek, Adithya A.A and Jeeva G.N from S.B.R.R Mahajana First Grade College, Mysore.
Pugmarks – the Treasure Hunt was uncovered by the team from National Institute of Engineering, Mysore comprising of Akshay Bhat, Hariprasad and Arpith N.
Neha Gandhi from Christ University, Bangalore was titled The Tycoon. Tycoon is the flagship event of Abhigyaan’12.
The Overall Championship was clinched by Madras Christian College, Chennai
