About Company Fresh Chicken industry is where the companies deal in fresh poultry chicken which is hygiene, clean & healthy. I wil be explaining it in form of Michael Porter¶s 5 Force Model with the help of Godrej Real Good Chicken example. Established in 1897, the Godrej group has grown in India from the days of the charkha to nights at the call centers. Our founder, Ardeshir Godrej, lawyer-turnedlocksmith, was a persistent inventor and a strong visionary who could see the spark in the future. His inventions, manufactured by his brother Pirojsha Godrej, were the foundation of today¶s Godrej empire. One of India¶s most trusted brand, Godrej enjoys the patronage and trust of over 470 million Indians every single day. Our customers mean the world to us. We are happy only when we see a delighted customer smile. Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) is a diversified agribusiness company with interests in animal feed, oil plantations, agrochemicals and poultry. The business was set up in 1971. GAVL today has 45 manufacturing facilities across India, a network of over 10,000 rural distributors, dealers & agents and over 1900 employees committed to improving the lives of Indian farmers. The company has a presence in 21 states. With a rich experience of over 3 decades in the business of animal feeds and under the leadership of Chairman Nadir Godrej, today the company produces almost one million tons of nutritionally balanced feed for cattle every year. The company owns over 29000 hectares of cultivation lands collectively across the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Gujarat and Mizoram. With the intent of radically improving farmer economies, the company is focused towards the benefit of farmers.

Bargaining Power of SupplierGodrej AgrovetLimited(GAVL) is the only provider of godrej so the bargaining power of supplier is very low. They wont leave such huge amount of profit for a new entrants.

Bargaining Power of BuyerThe bargaining power of buyers is very low. As the rates are decided by godrej itself the bargaining power avaibility is low.

Threat of SubstitutesPeople prefer to have eggs, fishes, soya balls rather chicken because it is heavy. Hence, threat of substitutes is high.
