Being tested by the IITs, a LOT of emphasis is laid on Quant and in fact, it is pretty tough too. I would suggest that you go through the Maths taught till 10th, 11th, 12th standard and also in engineering. I am not sure about any books in this regard, but generally the preparation material...

Choice of the coaching institute is not very important. TIME, IMS, CL, etc. are all pretty good and have students bagging seats in the IIMs. They will be able to provide you with sufficient material for a good preparation. What really matters is how much effort an individual puts in.. However...
