Political Humpty Dumpty & a tale of two medias'

The commercial news media is sized with the moment. India's oldest and the newest political party seems to be falling apart, at least that is what the commercial news media may want us to believe. One wants to grow by M&A and the other by Greenfield expansion, though the rest broad level differentiators may not be there other than their ability to actualize what they say & one of them is tried and tested with all positive and the negatives associated with it. And the reason seems to be the same age old witchcraft, wizards, egotism and several upright men (& women) pitted against these internal malaises with complete dedication and honesty, but failing to solve issues. The deeper problem like over-crowding of the national-secular-centrist space with too many parties & lack of differentiators including the existing ruling dispensation getting sucked in the same space does not find any mention in commercial news media. The problem is highlighted as a “Mom in ICU” kind of unconsolable positioning by media to bring out positions even as commercial news media tries to protect the vestigial political structures though it keeps running campaigns like no VIPs. Social media to contrary brings different viewpoints & perspectives depending upon different contributors each of which tends to add to confusions by increasing choices and game related choices tend to hasten up the game for the not so savvy. However for appreciators of the game choices, the trick lies in identifying and selecting choices carefully, otherwise which the doom may simply be catalyzed.
Basically the party structure of both or nearly all parties follows the same structure. To ordinary public it is depicted/conveyed through two powerful imagery to keep them hooked; one of 'a benevolent king & subjects' and the other is of 'a Guru/Gandhi commiserating with the toiling masses'. These images are portrayed where one is prior to elections used for campaign and other after elections, in order to keep the masses hooked and manage behaviour, which now also seems to be impacted by social media. The actual control structure of most of these party is basically the same and hidden from larger scrutiny. It is basically the hidden structure of control which seems to be giving up since to exercise control, what is required is commitment and credibility to solve problems, where demand seems to have gone up manifold due to changing nature of competition or game. In such a scenario, the appropriate response should be to modify organization structures, bringing out clearly the liabilities associated with various roles for position holders and appropriate balance scorecards to measure people's contribution to justify continuance within a role or capability to handle a higher or multiple roles. Instead, the old and hidden structures are sought to be protected and appeal of not to be subjected to sort of a lynch mob justice is communicated via commercial mass media, which in part is to protect the structure & controls. If indeed, such scenarios as panned out by commercial news media actualize, it is a likely signal of a gross lack of appreciation & understanding of 'Game' on part of (entire) leadership rather than clarity about victors and loser for the sake of larger public.
Appreciation of game is depicted when leaders maturely guide the party organization to new leadership structures which may possibly include giving up those that seem to be designed by Disraeli/Hume etc. and adopt/envisage/design a more contemporary one, which has ability to meet challenges of today's problems. Also, appropriate measurement criteria for each level of worker/s (including those at the highest level and moved to the government) depending upon role helps to maintain objectivity and can be exercised in a manner well understood. Hideous controls tend to germinate rebels on the back of popular support and may tend to lead to maniacal choices. A lack of appreciation of options simply because the commercial mass media does not point to these directions or traditionally these has not be explored, is a lack of maturity on the part of the player about game theory which is about options and survival and where the game tends to evolve by itself directed by cumulative forces of player, competition, the unconcerned and even all others...
