DNA - No, it’s not a new biotech discovery. DNA Daily News Analysis is an English daily newspaper of Diligent Media Corporation having a 50:50 joint venture promoted by Essel Group (Zee TV) and Dainik Bhaskar, the country’s largest circulation daily. It is armed with a war chest of six billion rupees including a pre – launch advertising budget of 60 crores.
DNA is to be launched on 30th July 05. In the beginning the name for new daily was suggested to be SUN since Bhaskar means sun in English, but later the idea was dropped and finally it was named DNA.
DNA will be published by Diligent Media Corporation Ltd. Diligent Media has already set up a state-of-art printing press in the Vashi area (Mahape) of Navi Mumbai with a capacity to print 4,50,000 copies. DNA- has plastered Mumbai with its hoardings asking mumbaikars to create their own ideal newspaper. DNA survey exercises in making people feel their opinions matter than a serious exercise in market research.
The type of content that would be offered to readers via DNA is getting decided by the feedback from a massive survey, which is Bhopal-based regional media powerhouse with intentions of becoming national player.
