Young generation Vs The Elderly

Its always a huge argument as to who has the most knowledge or who is wise?

The young believe and voice out that they are intelligent and "know" a lot about life and their work than what their elders know and say..

While the elders remain firm on their decision that they are wise and have "gone through this" and "know" how the world is and have a different way to solve problems and do work...

This creates and leads to unending conflicts at home and at work.It leads to breaking of families, self-conflict, tension, hatred, confusion, deviation from values and misleading activities and actions...

So who would you support guys?
 
i must say a very interesting topic.
well i too have been confused about this highly "debatable " topic .
i mean there sure are a lot of things that we ( the younger generation ppl) can do well ... for ex: using phone banking and net banking .... while the elderly shy away from using it . but does that make us intelligent? i would say yes. see you have got to keep up with the present and the times sure are a changing so you cant rely on the decade old ways of doind things . that is to say the i surely support my generation.
but still i would like to add , that there is not one way of looking at things, there are certain issues where the expertise and know how of are elders is needed. like you said this debate " creates and leads to unending conflicts at home and at work.It leads to breaking of families, self-conflict, tension, hatred, confusion, deviation from values and misleading activities and actions...", yet if we could have a balance between the two views we might be able to reap unfathomable benefits. we as the young blood need to develop a better understanding and create a balance.
After all, evolution does rely on the past events and so does growth !
