Issues to be Addressed
We have found that the most successful projects in the GSE program have several characteristics in common:
1. The scope of the project is very focused and can be undertaken from October 2013 through February 2014 by a team of
students based in the U.S.
2. The project centers around a core business challenge that the organization is facing; examples include: analyzing the
feasibility of launching a new venture or entering a new market; development of a ?nancial model to help project long-
term sustainability; strategic analysis of options for scaling operations.
3. The organization has su?cient sta? capacity to devote to working with the student team during the semester and to
implement the proposed recommendations.
Please write a 2-3 page statement addressing the following questions:
• How has your organization had an impact on your constituents’ well being?
• How would your organization bene?t from participating in the Yale School of Management’s Global Social
Entrepreneurship program? What project or organizational issues would you seek to address? What metrics
would you use to gauge the success of the project?
