Please read the following GD guidelines very carefully.

1) Add yahoo id: [email protected] to your Yahoo Messenger friend list.

2) The GD will be conducted amongst 5-7 members max. Only.

3) All the people are requested to close all the programmes while the GD is going on.
People search the internet to get the topic details, which won’t be allowed in the original GD. These kinds of things will hamper your performance during the finals.

4) Do not send any forwards or private messages to [email protected], otherwise they will be removed out from the list... This id is meant only for GD purpose

5) People are asked NOT to copy & pass on the GD transcript to others.

6) Results will be declared in the forum (Yahoo Online GD feedback) within 2 days.

7) Threads for all the topics of GD’s will be made on the same day so that candidates will be able to continue the discussions further on it.

8) Any member found misbehaving shall be permanently blocked

9) The GD will start by 06:30 pm, sharp on a periodic basis (however, there might be delays or cancellation for the same...)

10) The candidates who wish to participate are expected to come online at least 15 minutes before time & change their status to ''ONLINE GD'' (this helps us to identify all those who wish to participate in the session and hence, we do not invite those, who don't change their status). Late entries will not be granted entry.

11) No Private Messages will be entertained.

12) Also candidates are informed not to leave the GD in between or they won’t be invited again for the same.

DURING THE GROUP DISCUSSION CONFERENCE:

1) The Group Discussion shall be text-based. That means that you need to write your points in the conference as though you were speaking in the actual GD.

2) Please collate your points while giving your argument. Avoid giving one-liners or posting after every line.

3) Use different color fonts for your arguments; however keep the font size to be Arial, 10. This helps in easily distinguishing between the arguments put up by different members.

4) Please substantiate your arguments with supporting examples, whether you agree or disagree with the points under discussion.

5) Do not engage in one-to-one fights with others or use sarcastic remarks. Remember, you are not in a debate but in a discussion and your aim is not to aim over the other person but to discussion all the aspects of the GD subtly and clear it.

6) Avoid personal talks with other members in the conference and give a brief introduction of yourself before starting with the GD.

Note: Please follow the above mentioned guidelines very strictly.
