Worth spending 6-7lacs for an avg. package of 3lacs?

I want to share views with people that " is it worth spending 6-7 lacs for a bschool from MAT which has avg placements of 3 lacs and most of the people getting jobs in the end by their own or consulting services ??"" :SugarwareZ-279:

when placements are similar in many institutes, then why is it a difference betwwen the ranking of bschools, given that the industry exposure and course delivered is the same?:bolt:

:SugarwareZ-275: How effective an MBA is, in meeting job/entrepreneurship/business objectives, is clearly a function of what kind of program you enroll into.

In good times, it did not matter much, which B-school you went to, but in bad times like these, every decision can become important. Shorter programs have suddenly gained relevance. In some cases, students have begun to opt for lower cost programs at lesser known B-schools or even seek out specialized programs.

Should one undertake an MBA in such an environment then? Should one take loan for 8 lacs and spend the initial years of job in paying it back with loads of interests?

First Of all It all depands on you how serious you are for your career, If you are not even iims are worthless mostly masters degree is to explore yourself in the maximum directions possible which makes a MBA worth something or else whether you spend 1 lakh or 10 lakhs the result remains the same....

nd i dn't think any of the clgs askin for 6-7 lacks fee nd still not havin gurantee of placemnt are worth for a single penny of tht....
