The Kochi IPL team has been given one month time to resolve the differences arising out of the sweat equity. Though according to senior IPL officer the bone of contention is minor one and is of the remedial nature unlike the other one in case of Rajasthan Royals. The Gaekwad currently own 25 % of the sweat equity and the other 75% equity holders are demanding that the sweat equity held by gaekqad should be reduced to 10% and some reports say that Gaekwad have agreed to retain 12% sweat equity.

If the dispute is not settled, Kochi could join Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab on the sidelines next April.
That would leave the annual Twenty20 cricket tournament, played between eight franchises for its first three editions, with just seven teams in 2011 when it had been expected to feature 10.

kochi might be able to resolve the differences because after having such a big plans to participate in such big event...they must definitely resolve and come up with the team
