From the start of 2008,one of the headlines is whether US is in a recession or not?Rupee was rising against the dollar and as a result IT companies in India are re-working their strategies to cut their exposure on dollar revenue. This is not an isolated case.Even currencies like Yen,Euro is rising against dollar.Even China wants to trade with Euro than Dollar. So is this the time for the Euro or Yen to replace dollar as the global currency?

Pour your thoughts

the recent rejection of iran in accepting dollar in receipt of oil is a major blow for the value and and another nail in the coffin in the dying currency.

euro on the other hand is more friendly and started to be preferred over dollar.

well if read right.. dollar's strenghtning and therefore oil's goin down. honestly i think the entire US recession things slightly over-played.. compounded by the media and the like.. it will heal over a year. dollar should remain strong. BUt then there are talks of the middle east coming out with their own common currency to reduce their currencies dependance on the dollar... pour ur thoughts guys..

I DO NOT THINK THAT EURO OR YEN WILL REPLACE DOLLAR.THOUGH IRAN AND SOEM OPEC HAVE STARTED TRADING CRUDE OILL IN YEN OR EURO BUT THAT DOESNOT WARRANT THE END OF SUPERPOWER AMERICAS BIGGEST SYMBOL OF STRENGTH THAT IS THE DOLLAR
