Will a film like Shootout at Lokhandwala disrupt the peaceful image of the suburb of Lokhandwala?

Lokhandwala is among Mumbai's most posh localities, with the crème de la crème of the society forming a major chunk of its residents. Will a film like Shootout at Lokhandwala, based on the famous 1992 police encounter, cause a stir in the otherwise calm air of the locality? Do films actually influence real life goings-on?

nah...well its jus a movie rite!!!! tho it happened for real..its jus a movie showing the viewers what happened

Do u remember what happened with Gadar's filming in many parts of india? Vandalism.... and they had to stop the filming in some parts of the country. Media is the most powerful tool affecting people's mind. Media makes and breaks.

Hence, the film producers should be very careful and selective. Otherwise films on hindu muslim riots and stuff like that can actually create fresh riots.

Hi,
Films about the conversial subjects like the Shootout @.... and one abt Sabarmati in Gujarat can best be avoided.Instead they can try sme educative films like GURU( biography of sme gr8 people),abt global warming or abt the Indian Independance, yesteryear gr8 kings (like Akbar,Babar etc...).This is will very informative for the people.

media does have a lot of influence on the people but this is a movie about reality n such movies should be made so that ppl know about such stuff but still care should also be taken to c that the movie does not potray any negative stuff that can give rise to an riot
u know this movie is made on the don maya his mom never wanted this movie to realse coz she feared that she will not get justise

not at all..people will know history better with such films
well i don't agree with you...
people don't knw the history of the things that happenned at Lokhandwala...
do you knw that the actual shootout that took place lasted for almost 5 long hours and more than 4000 thousand bullets were fired on that particular day...
which in the movie is been shown as the shootout lasted for an hour and less than 3000 bullets are fired...so what do you believe on...
Media today just sells the news that it feels is going make them money and is been shown on television again and again so that more n more revenue is been earned by them...

also to say about the movie its a very good movie and such movies should be made so that people come to knw bout the things that had been taken place in the city atleast if not the whole truth but atleast it can have an idea of the things that happenned in reality....

also don't forget that this is Bollywood you can't show the whole truth of else your movie won't sell...as it happenned in the movie ''Black Friday''...

also such a film won't disrupt the peace at lokandwala...infact it would help them understand the police authorities much better...
